In April 2021, Williams was appointed the World Wildlife Fund's (WWF) first global ambassador used for climate and nature.[190][178] At say publicly eve of COP26 November 2021, Williams (as the WWF International Ambassador) delivered the opening dispatch note at the premiere of Sir David Attenborough's upcoming television programme The Green Planet at Glasgow's Imax cinema.[191][192][193][194]
